Punjab State Power Corporation Limited which is also known as PSPCL has always been the main reason behind the core development of Punjab. It is responsible for generation & distribution of Electricity in the states of Punjab. Recently PSPCl published a notification about the recruitment of young candidates for the post of LDC, Typist, Junior Engineer, and Sub Station Attendant in PSPCL. PSPCL is looking for candidates with dynamic candidates with good academic performance. 

PSPCL Recruitment 2017-18

The official notification was published by PSPCL according to which the interested candidates are required to submit their application from 21^st December 2017 to 11^th January 2018.

As per the officials, there are a total of 883 posts available for recruitment by PSPCL. All the details regarding the recruitment process, exam date, merit list and the list of selected candidates will be published by PSPCL on their website. The number of vacancies for the different posts is given in the following table:

Candidates who wish to apply for the post of LDC/Typist, Sub-station attendant or Junior Engineer can check all the required eligibility conditions which are written below:

PSPCL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2017-18

1.     Candidates must be more than 18 years old and less than 37 years old as on the date of recruitment.

2.     For the posts of LDC/Typist, candidate must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university with 120 hours course with experience of using Information Technology in office productivity application from an institution recognized by government.

3.     For the post of Sub-station Attendant candidate must have done course for ITI/electrical with minimum 60% marks with 2 years’ experience in PSPCL. Or candidates with only Electrical Engineering Diploma with 60% marks are also eligible for the post of Sub-station Attendant.

4.      For the post of Junior Engineer, candidate must have done a full time diploma in electrical/electronics/ IT/computer science engineering with 60% marks from a recognized institution. On the other hand, candidates with B.Tech. Degree in any of these streams with 50% marks can also apply.

How to apply for PSPCL Recruitment 2017-18?

1.     Candidates can apply for the given posts by visiting the official website of PSPCL.

2.     After visiting the website, candidate should go to the ‘Recruitment Tab’ and then select the given link.

3.     Candidates can only apply through online mode. No other mode of application for recruitment is available.

4.     Candidates have to provide scanned photograph and scanned signature with black point pen for the online application form.

5.     In the end of the application form, candidates have to pay the application fees through the desired payment gateway for completion of application form.

Given below are the entire exam pattern and the selection procedure that will be conducted for the recruitment of candidates for the post of LDC, Typist, Junior Engineer, and Sub Station Attendant.

PSPCL Recruitment Exam Pattern 2017-18

There will be an online test conducted for the selection of the candidates for the above written posts. The online test for the post of LDC/typist and for the post of Junior Engineer and Sub Station Attendant are different from one another. These are briefly described below:

For the post of Junior engineer and Sub-station attendant: There will be 100 multiple choice questions in the exam with a negative marking of 1/4^th mark per wrong answer. Candidates have to score a minimum of 50% marks to qualify in this test and to be eligible for selection.

PSPCL Recruitment 2017-18 Selection Procedure

Candidates first have to go through online examination. Applicants qualifying the online examination will then be called for verification of documents. Candidates shall be informed for this through the email provided by them at the time of applying online application form.After the verification of qualified candidate’s final selection will be done by the authority of PSPCL.
